Jan Fečo

Jan Fečo - is one of the youngest musicians successors of the Fečo family.

 

Young multi-instrumentalist Jan Fečo (b. 1990) founded his own quartet in 2010, with a focus

on his basic inspirational elements of contemporary jazz and hard-bop.

 

Other influences of the musical spectrum is Latin American music to hip-hop, also plays Roma (Gypsy) folk tunes, where he will create unique authentic jazz elements.

 

A graduate of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, Jan Fečo won the Award for the best soloist in 2011 at the International Jazz Festival in Nové Hrady (Czech Republic), in 2012 his ensemble won first place in the Czech Jazz Contest (Prague) and in 2013 his ensemble performed at festival in Getxo (Spain) and was one of four from all over Europe.

 

Jan Fečo performs with Gustav Brom's Big Band Czech Radio Big Band, Kristina Barta & Miroslav Hloucal. He is also a guest at a jam session at the jazz club U Malého Glena in Prague.
